The objective of the competition was to build a robot that could recognize three different objects ( a yellow tennis ball , a red soap box and a black can) , grab them and take them to a predestined location.

Kambiz Dana uses a web cam to capture a picture of the field , transmits the picture information through USB port to the computer program. Processing the received image information , software decides and commands the robot what to do.

The robot , itself has a predefined software interface through an independent microcontroller that can establish a link to the computer by serial port.

Using a very precise feedback for each wheel in addition to six infra-red sensors, the robot can follow a path we ordered it accurately.
